The Roofing Process
Clear Choice Exteriors takes great pride in delivering a first-rate job at a competitive price. Our approach is thorough with a project manager on every job, quality materials, and close attention to detail.

Our process includes these steps:

• Strip off old roofing to permit full inspection of underlying sheathing. It's smarter to fix problems at this point rather than covering them up with a second layer of shingles.
• Install ice and water shield on all critical areas and around the outside perimeter with a 6 foot edge vs. the standard 3 foot to avoid ice damming and leaks.
• Re-lead chimneys or replace with copper and replace vent pipe gaskets.
• Check gutters for damage – this is a good point to replace if needed.
• Build out soffit and add ridge vents if needed to increase attic ventilation.
• Install premium quality, asphalt, architectural-style shingles (30-year or lifetime) or cedar shakes.
